Yoga Rituals are meditative ceremonies that combine the elements of a traditional Asana Practice with invocation, prayer, intention setting, working with the breath through pranayama, chanting, singing, and meditation. There is a theme set as a collective group intention as well as the individual intentions of the participants. We focus on the current energies and what we are learning as a collective, as we evolve on our path of ascension. There is a harmonious environment cultivated through the sharing of energy in a sacred space, as well as an inner tuning as we bring into true alignment our minds, bodies, and souls.
I enjoy working with Hip and Heart opening poses because that is where the most emotional and energetic releases occur. Even while instructing dynamic standing sequences I guide my students in a chill, meditative style that is long, slow, and deep. Moving us through the energetic system of the body, taking time to allow the postures of the physical body to permeate the energetic aura of the body, and cleanse and thread together the pranic, mental, and emotional bodies as well.

I love teaching at festivals and retreats
I love to teach classes with a ceremonial flair at Transformational Festivals. It’s especially beautiful to practice in an outdoor setting, surrounded by the magical energy that occurs when people come together with the primary intention of celebrating life. I offer workshops titled: Happy Hips, Yin Meditation and Stillness, Heart Opening through Twists and Bends, and below is an example of a yoga ritual class description.
Infinite Love and Gratitude — A Ritual for Healers
A Service Inspired to gather Rainbow Warriors, Light Workers, Healers, and Mystics
We come together to co-create in Service to the ultimate truth – LOVE. We heal the grid of the Earth by raising our collective vibrations and sending our light throughout the world through group conscious visualization and meditation practices. We infuse elements of tribal, unity consciousness, ancient reverence for creation, surrender, and prayer as an offering for the betterment of the universe. Asana practice, Meditation, Chanting, Prayer.
More On the Benefits of the Practice…
Yoga is an excellent way to meditate while in motion, to open blocked channels of energy in the body, and to clear the mind and heart while bringing the whole person into balance. Yoga instruction is very personal and based on the needs of the participants of the class, so each session will be different depending on what is needed. I love to teach Yin a combination of Yin/Yang Yoga, which starts out with a Vinyasa style standing sequence building some heat in the body, but then transitions into Yin, a softer feminine style of yoga that centers on subtle movements, relaxation, and letting go of alignment and just melting into the pose.
Yoga Rituals turn the practice yoga into a full body prayer. After many years of personal practice, teaching, and working with wonderful teachers such as Marilyn Glasser and Seane Corn, I understand the subtle fine tuning that can be achieved through a soft focus, and the delicate dance between alignment and grace, effort and ease.. but most of all primarily focusing on the rhythmic flow our breath.
In-Person Sessions – You will be guided through a unique experience, where I will work with you one on one and help you get deeper into your alignment as you practice the postures. I will assist you with clearing your mind through the vehicle of these poses as well as focusing on the the breath. Classes may be challenging, but will also feel very good. You will leave feeling renewed, soothed, and peaceful.

Remote Sessions – Remote Sessions are helpful when you have tightness in your body or blockages in your chakras – or if you want to tune into parts of your body. So, if you are looking for grounding techniques we will do a meditation, plus an entire posture series that focuses the Root Chakra. If you are feeling a lot of sadness, anger, or frustration then we will go through a heart opener sequence to move that energy throughout the body. I will guide you intuitively through the poses and workshop the steps as needed, teaching you to use your own hands on your own bodies, so you can feel, sense, and see the alignment of each pose. You will feel the subtle shifts as you see a new space emerge within your body.
You will need: Just you and your yoga mat! Having a hard floor and a block is always helpful, but not necessary.
A shout out of Gratitude to my teachers! Seane Corn has been a great inspiration in my life as a teacher, as well as Marilyn Glasser, Felicia Tomasko, Jason Crandell, Elena Brower, and Debbie Collingwood.
The Divine Feminine is very present in my life, as well as my journey on the mat. I have a very feminine flow to my teaching, but because of my Vinyasa Training and knowledge of Energy Anatomy, I focus strongly on alignment and creating openings in the body. Yin yoga practices really serve men as well because they help to lengthen the hamstrings, soften and relax the shoulders, and teach how to hinge from the hips. Everyone benefits from working with these postures! Om Shakti Om!
