So, has everyone been having a crazy week? Good! Then you’re right where you’re supposed to be! 😉 So breathe. And love yourself. And forgive yourself for whatever you are going through at the moment. Jupiter is turning direct right as we speak, and when a planet shifts from retrograde to direct it stirs up some energy in the air. And this planet is an outer planet so it’s effect is more, everywhere… meaning the whole environment changes, not just the people. The people shift as the result of the environment changing. A new chapter, and maybe for some, a whole new game.
But what is amazing is this planet rules attributes like Magnanimity and Benevolence, and it has been retrograde in Gemini since October 4th. We have a lot of forward motion things to look forward to this year, and come February with the Chinese New Year and Aquarian energy in full swing, we will finally start to feel the dawning of the New Age after the outrageous Dec 21st 2012 shift that culminated. (Note to self: write about the awesome revelations during the ascension.. more to come!)
But for now, at this moment, I see a lot of us dealing with our shadows from this intense Full Moon that just passed on Jan. 26th. Healing through the ache, as it were. If you resonate with this, know you are not alone. And what is true is that it takes such courage to look at your self and hold your shadow up to the light. We are totally unaware sometimes of aspects of our personality, and how they come off or are interpreted by other people. Respect and honor for each other is so important at the forefront of every interaction. But it is something we learn as we journey on the path, along with humility and surrender (more on this to come).
Whatever you are healing at this moment, or if you are now aware of some aspect of your being that no longer serves the person you are becoming, please work on being present enough to make the adjustments that your new awareness is calling you to do. The ache you feel is a wakeup call. It is said that Neem Karoli Baba stated, “I love suffering, it brings me so close to God.” Imagine that as you work to illuminate your shadow, you reveal more of the God/Goddess within.
On that note, some of us, no matter what sex we are, are coming into our Divine Masculine. There is a warrior within that is emerging. And it’s no bullshit and non emotional, like a ninja. Qigong, Yoga, Pranayama, Tai Chi – these exercises are helpful tools that will assist you to better connect with this part of your psyche.
Think sacred, non-attached, purely focused intention. In The Four Agreements, don Miguel Ruiz mentions the creeds, ‘Be impeccable with your word’ and ‘Take nothing personally’. The Toltec wisdom of the book is aligned with this pure warrior energy. It takes a lot of effort in our society, a constant tuning and spending time connecting to the sacred through ritual, meditation, prayer or otherwise; to clarify the chaos of life. From there you cultivate higher awareness, and see the truth of how it all is.
Remember this is a practice. Another agreement is, ‘Always do your best’ which I would follow up with, ‘Forgive yourself for when you see where you could have done better.”
Serving your roles without getting lost in them.
Have you felt the call to stop getting lost in your emotions or the melodrama of your life and the lives of others? Have you recently come to the awareness that your Higher Self is asking you to play your roles on this earth without being so attached to them?
How much space can we take from the roles we play?
It is amazing how non-attached we must become to fulfill our missions on Earth. Arjun on the battlefield in Kurushetra is a supreme archetype of this warrior energy. The story of the Bhagavad Gita is an allegory for this inner journey of the spirit.
I’m not saying close off your emotions completely, I’m saying be centered, connect, and knowingly trust that the right outcome will occur no matter what you are encountering on the path. Act from this inner knowing that the divine plan is in action no matter what. Cultivate the witness, your doorway to a Zen state of self-awareness. This non-emotional Masculine energy serves to balance our inner intuitive Goddess who feels the suffering of this world and learns to assert boundaries in order to not get lost in world of emotion.
What can you do to bring out your inner warrior today? What can you lovingly, with compassion, say No to? What emotions can you detach from to gain the clarity of what your next move will be? Is it a Dharmic action you are taking? What is in the highest good for all, including you? Sometimes, our Divine Feminine serves others before self, which is beautiful, but all in all there must be balance. You cannot serve others if you do not first serve yourself. And it seems to be time for understanding that grace. Have the courage to invoke your inner warrior.
Still, some of us feel like January was a long, deep sleep. And that since The Shift, there have been pockets of awakening, but mostly, you’ve been internally quiet, in reflection, in a state of hibernation. You have been awakened to what your truth is after all the swirling energy at the end of last year — and what parts of your past self must be digested and transmuted in order to move forward on your journey.
All I can say is me too <3 But I am beginning to come out of the hibernation state. A lot more clear. And if you are still there, know you will too. And if people are crazy around you, pray for them, have compassion, and shield yourself. Align with what is most true, let go of all that falls away and see that which abides (I’m paraphrasing from The Book of Runes)
Mostly, I want to encourage us not to be scared of, or judge our shadows. It is a blessing to have the darker aspects of ourselves be brought to light. And it is an honor to get to know yourself on this Earth — to see the soul reveal itself over a lifetime, as we discover who we have been and who we are becoming.
Take nothing personal. Trust it’s all perfect. I know that many of us have seen the web that threads us all together, even if only in glimmers, or just for a moment.. It’s those moments, the peace that you felt in those moments.. ask it to come back to your awareness, in meditation, in silence, and in your breath.
And as you are called to face your shadow, ask for the courage and the stillness, to invoke your inner warrior.
