This is my first post of 2016. I created an audio accompaniment for you to click and listen to.
In 2016 I commit to being more of myself. But I wish to do this through the process of seeing what’s before me in every situation. Seeing the blessings that the universe is providing to me in the present. I want to be present. To feel satisfied, fulfilled, and really embodied in each moment of my life fully. I have spent a long time looking forward to better days and years ahead. Wanting more than life was offering me and not seeing or receiving the gifts that I was being asked to share and become. I was childish in this way. This is similar to a child wanting their way, their circumstances. This is a game of control. Now I am learning the gifts of what it is to surrender to a greater role, a greater wholeness, and to take a greater part in the tapestry of our universe. It’s big. It’s a sense of maturity that is required to let go and be still and be in love with what life presents you.
Show me the way.
That has been my mantra for the last few months to a year. Show me the way. Make my life an offering. Allow me to become all that I am meant to be. Allow me to be poetry, a vibrant vessel of life. Guide me into my wholeness. I trust you completely.
I surrender.
Now, what has come from these prayers has been a clearing of obstacles that were in my inner road map as it were, as I have been strikingly aware over the last 6 months of all of the ways I have been blocking myself from receiving love. From giving my power away to dismissing miracles there has been the eternal thread present within me witnessing this behavior that is not congruent with where my heart is in truth. That life, in it’s infinite boundless glory can so surprise you and will fully support your dreams and wishes coming true if you are in alignment with the greater good. You just have to be present, and slow down enough to listen to what life is offering you, in each and every moment. It has been said that life is a dialogue with the infinite, and the next clue, the next message is always there, just around the corner. You just have to trust it.
Elizabeth Gilbert, one of my favorite writers, and an amazing role model of what it is to be a modern, conscious creative woman gave a talk in 2010 that I was just led to and I suggest you listen to if inspired. Her core message is Self-forgiveness. I believe that true happiness only happens once we are totally capable of treating ourselves with reverence and kindness when we fall short of our own expectations. We have to be easy on ourselves in order to progress in our own self-development, and yet understanding and putting into practice the habits of self-love is basically winning the game of self-development in the first place. This is what brings joy, peace, inner beauty and grace.
Give yourself Grace.
And notice when you’re not. I am now aware that changing all behavior into becoming the highest vibration of who we are here to be just takes awareness, and adjustment.
It’s a constant tuning to the frequency of living the truth of your heart.
Catch yourself. Course correct. Be courageous.
See the moments where you are going off the deep end. Lose your attachments to fear and to drama. And tune to the Divine. Be peace. Do this for all of us.
We are brothers and sisters here in society. We’ve lost that way of being in this world, but it is true for all of us. There is a kinship that connects us as souls, and we must walk in the beauty way, with the respect for all things, the earth, each other, and ourselves.
Aho mitakuye oyasin.
In Love, Light, and Warrior Spirit,
